All activities are led by CAPS Teacher Education students, virtually, using Zoom. 

Thursday, January 7    9:05-9:25

FOR IN-PERSON CLASSES ONLY
Age Level:
1st-3rd grades

Description: Join us for a fun and engaging math game including adding and subtracting.

Teacher Materials:  Smart board, Zoom, and Computer

Student Materials: Scratch paper and writing utensil or dry erase markers and boards

Instructions: The teacher can put the zoom on the smartboard so everyone can see!

Description: Come join us and listen to us read you a book!

Teacher Materials: Computer, smart board, and zoom!

Instructions: Join the zoom and put it on your smart board so the whole class can see!

Description: A couple of dance videos from the game "Just Dance" to get your bodies moving!

Teacher Materials: Just your computer, smart board and you!

Instructions: The teacher can put the video on the screen so the whole class can see the dance!

PUPPET WORKSHOP

Age Level: K-5 Grades

Description: Students will take a plain piece of paper and turn it into a fun puppet that they get to create and make their own.

Materials: plain piece of white paper, glue sticks or glue or tape, colored pencils or markers to decorate the puppet!

Instructions: Join the zoom and a teacher ed student will lead the activity.

Description: Come join us and sit back and relax while we read you a book!

Teacher Materials: Computer, smart board, and zoom!

Instructions: Join the zoom and put it on your smart board so the whole class can see!

Age Level: 2nd grade+

Description: Students will be able to create a fun  and easy fortune teller!

Materials: One piece of paper for each student, scissors, writing utensil

Instructions: Connect to the zoom and project it on the smart board so everyone can join!

Age Level: K-5 Grades

Description: A couple of dance videos from the game "Just Dance" to get your bodies moving!

Description: The staff will walk students through steps on how to create a monster using online resources

Staff: Lilly Ciarimboli, Marissa Heil, and Sukie Hernandez 

Age Level: 3rd Grade (or anyone who wants to practice basic multiplication)

Materials: own devices to generate cards online If playing online, go here to generate your own card:

Instructions: Join the zoom and open the link above to access a multiplication bingo card. You can play this as a class or each student can play individually.

Description: Students will each receive a bingo card and we will read out the answers and students will mark them on their card.

Instructions: Join the zoom to have a brain break and play a game of I Spy!

Description: Students will be given instructions to find items in the classroom/at home. If they are at home, they will hold their objects up to the camera. If they are in the classroom, they can write down the names of the objects they have found on a piece of paper.

Age Level: K-5 Grades

Description: We will give the students clues that fit the description of a certain object and they will look for an object that fits this description. If the students are learning remotely, they can bring back the objects but if you are in a classroom students can write down what they found.

Materials: Whatever you can find.
